Eh, I really prefer the old Spyro design (mostly the YotD design), but I do find the NB Spyro's blocky head humorous. His expressions throughout the game are more varied, and I think that some of them are just hilarious.

i showed this one kid a pic of the new spyro, i think its this one

and this kid in pottery said that he looked like he was on crack!!

then i just said, "well how do you know what a person looks like when they are on crack? Because since its against the law YOU wouldn't do crack......"

Everyone loves funny looking characters these days, Crash Bandicoot and all the other chars in COTT just look stupid but everyone loves them (except me and Tara Cross)

I like the new Spyro - as I've said before, the new model sheet for him, fits much better as a "young dragon", compaired to the elder dragons.

You should be able, to easily down size the elders to Spyro's form.

With his old design, you couldn't do that - there weren't many bridges between young and old, in the old games - regarding the figure design.

Conclution of my opinion:
The new modelsheet for Spyro is better, because it makes him much more beliverble as a young dragon among elders.

yes but also remember that there were many different kinds of dragons in the old ones and we didn't see any female dragons (i'd say there up with there sons/daughters teaching them stuff in faerie land[where all the faeries come from])
PS: the old spyro didn't need to look too young cause he wasn't a baby

I'm in agreement with Pip on this one. It's much easier to see the stages of dragon development with LoS Spyro. Plus, he's a crocodile puppy! How can you not love that? big_smile

No, seriously. Crocodile puppy. You can see the real animals used to as reference for Spyro's new look and range of motions, and the big two are crocodiles (seen most prominently in his nose, jaws, and tail), and canine puppy (seen in the way he walks, the general shape of his face, and his constantly waggling tail). It amuses me greatly.

Old Spyro was always cool looking, but he never made me go "D'aww! That is SO adorable!" the way new Spyro did when I caught him dancing. Heck, that even got my husband and he's not much of a Spyro fan (though he could pass as one just from living in the same house as I do and hearing me babble about the little dragon all the time big_smile ).

There probably is some kitten in him, but I've owned enough dogs to recognize the puppy walk when I see it. big_smile

Cynder, however, has a lot of kitten in her design. Kitten, parrot, and snake.

It takes a while before Spyro starts to dance. Just leave him alone for a while. He'll get up on his hind legs to look around three or four times and give you the "Hey, gamer! Why aren't you playing?" look. After a little bit more, he starts to wiggle his butt and tail. It's adorable!

And that picture looks like it's a still from one of his attack moves.

Replying to PIPs post up there... Think about how many looks of dragons there are i the original spyro game... spyro could grow up and look ENTIRELY like any one of those. WE dont really know what the original would look like when he is older or how he could grow so you cant really say the original dudn't fi the elders.

Besides,The original Spyro was actually sposed to have come from another realm of dragons...

That picture cracks me up Ididn't read the other comments and when I saw it I thought that Spyro was going through this topic in the forum and he read what Razz said (I didn't read it I became to lazy I thought you said you liked the next few games better in that post above) and then Spyro paused after reading it That was REALLY funny!

Yes i agree. I liked his Spyro 1-3 personality best. I didn't like his personality in AHT because he acted like a loser.
