Cynder set to appear in Skylanders Academy Season 2

Skylanders Academy has been renewed for a third season set for 2018, and Cynder will debut in the show in Season 2 this Fall.

New addition Felicia Day (The Guild, Supernatural and Buffy the Vampire Slayer) will join the cast in Season 2, voicing the role of Cynder, a new cadet at the Academy with a mysterious past.

Sweet I hope they show some of her past with Malefor in flashbacks. I think she might be hard to interact with for Spyro and the others at first but eventually come around helping the team on their missions and battles.

So today, they released new details on Cynder in the upcoming Season 2 of Skylanders Academy.

Think Spyro is the only purple-skinned, wisecracking, devil-may-care dragon in the Skylands? Well, actually he is. But there’s also Cynder, an ambitious, violet-scaled dragon who arrived at the Academy with a mysterious past that she refuses to talk about. Maybe it has something to do with how preternaturally talented she is in the dark arts, with awesome—and sinister—powers like her spectral lightning and shadow dash. Or how she’s always taking those weekend trips down to the Underworld. Until the Skylanders can get to the bottom of what’s really driving Cynder, she’s content to be the brooding ying to Spyro’s carefree yang, adding a much-needed edge to the Skylanders' fight for good.

I'm surprised fans didn't start complaining en masse about Cynder's scale colors in 2011. She's a violet-colored dragon in Skylanders, only black in the LOS.

A little late but this design actually looks quite good in my opinion. Her thinner appearance makes her look a lot more cartoon-ish and fits the new character.

i actually like her design. the tall neck reminds me a bit of Arlene from Garfield. and something to show the distinct difference between this version of cynder and LOS Cynder

cameo from Malefor. awesome. good to see the cynder in this one is just friends with Spyro, and not a love interest. Then again this group is younger than the Spyro and Cynder in DOTD.

nice find aura. Cynder seems to be the eager " I wanna be a hero!" type, and Spyro seems eager to be the ' wise mentor' type. Looking forward to it

I tend to think Cynder takes the hero business more seriously than Spyro did at the beginning. At least from the video clips.
