Remaster Rumor

Surprised this hasn't been posted here yet. According to "multiple sources", there's a supposed remaster of the original three PS1 titles in the works from Activision. Doesn't look like Kotaku UK indicated who these people are, but it's an interesting development for sure. Something to keep an eye one!

it's almost unreal to think that this remaster, that rabid, psychotic fans have been begging for, and vandalizing Wikipedia articles for YEARS over, is finally ("supposedly") happening!

I just informed about it few people on facebook only tongue I'm hoping they will remake it good, keeping Spyro's original look. The bad thing is I will have nowhere to play it.

Hope this is true after the Crash N Sane Trilogy figured Spyro was next. Hopefully we'll find out soon!

Not really sure how I feel about this to be honest. At this point I don't think I'd be super interested in buying it full price unless there is going to be additional content. I've played these games a million times already and I don't think adding a new coat of paint and nothing else will be worth it to me. It would be fun and all... it's always fun to replay the original series... but maybe not $40 worth.

That's assuming this is even true in the first place of course.

Hey everyone Tealgamemaster is saying the rumoured Spyro trilogy Spyro treasure trilogy is being announced 4:30 PM tommrow he’s someone that does walkthrough’s of games and is a huge Spyro fan. Take it with a grain of salt but maybe we might hear something. Don’t hold your breath for anything though. Activision is stream Crash N Sane trilogy so we’ll see if it’s true soon enough.

Well today (Thursday) Activision is indeed hosting a livestream on Crash N. Sane trilogy and Spyro fans are hyping up that Activision may announce the remasters during the stream.

No, it wasn't announced. The streamer started right off the bat that they weren't announcing anything during the livestream even though he reportedly said that there was gonna be a big announcement. Also he wasn't handling the livestream very well; most of it was just him answering questions on Twitter while ignoring the Twitch live chat that was raging out of control.

Yeah nothing was announced and the guy said as much. Not really disappointing considering I didn't expect anything. It doesn't mean a remaster is not happening, just means nothing happened for now. It's okay I got to see Tealgamemaster live stream and Crash N Sane Trilogy so not a complete loss. Hopefully rumours aren't as hyped up next time.

Trailer dropped it's on Tealgamemaster and other people's channels looks breathtaking! Spyro Reignited Trilogy coming to PS4 September 2018. Being developed by Toys for Bob and Activision.
