Re: Music Toggle + Reignited Main Theme by Stewart Copeland
The Reignited theme for Hurricos sounds really good. And the main theme tease is great. Can't wait to hear the full version.

Re: Music Toggle + Reignited Main Theme by Stewart Copeland
BOTH OF THESE SOUND AWESOME
it seems like they're going for a slightly "brighter" atmosphere for Hurricos, which should be interesting. both the music and the level itself just seem less "subdued".
it's really cool that you can switch between the two versions of the songs. now for me, i find that the original Hurricos song doesn't match as well with the somewhat "brighter" take on the level. but still, for a LOT of people, i think having that option is gonna go a long way. i know updating the music was a point of contention for a lot of people early on, even if i didn't really care personally.

Switching between songs, is cool. Looking forward to it.

I think I'll be listening to the new soundtrack the first time I play. I already know what the old songs sound like, and I want to give the new versions of the songs a chance since it's supposed to cater the newer version of the game.

I think I'll do the same. Very glad the option will be there, though.

I might do this too. I'm not one who likes to compare old to new, I like the new to have a chance of being its own entity. Seeing how the levels are built from the ground up using new tech I will most likely keep the new music on.

the dynamic element is also a factor. I dont think they are going to turn the original soundtrack dynamic. I suppose they shouldn't because it would completely negate the whole reason for having the original, lol. Dynamic soundtracks have been a gaming music thing for at least 5 years now, and have actually been very important to games that have rollercoaster type gameplay. Maybe not exactly what Spyro needs, but I can see it being a good thing if done right. If you don't know what dynamic music is like, here are some examples:

Very cool announcement, though I definitely felt for the composer of the Reignited soundtrack when all the applause erupted. For sure I'll play with the remastered tracks the first time through to get the full experience. Been excited with the recent stuff they've been putting out and might as well give it a try. And the Hurricos track sounds good despite the lack of the definitive bass from the original.
Dynamic music seems cool especially for the underwater portions, but I doubt they would apply it to the original soundtrack. and @riverhippo: gotta love the Mark Brown videos
