What will Spyro 4's music be like?

I'm asking this because unlike the original trilogy, Spyro 4 won't have old compositions to remix (unless they use music from Enter the Dragonfly and Hero's Tail). I personally feel that Stewart Copeland and Stephan Vankov will compose the 4th game's music a similar manner to how Spyro 3's music was composed (a collaboration). I might sound optimistic but that's my thoughts.

hm... what do you mean? i just assumed if they redid "Spyro 4", it'd be Enter the Dragonfly. so they'd use music from that game.

Hmm. Ok here is my guess. Maybe, it will be themed after the original music but using modern instruments (whatever that means) or writing styles for soundtracks. Newer soundtracks have been getting more and more experimental with electronic textures, electronic sounds have become so much more versatile since the days of having to record physical instruments for each layer

They will never remake EtD because TfB knows that most fans hate EtD.

Re: What will Spyro 4's music be like?

If I'm understanding the context correctly, you're asking hypothetically, if TfB was to hypothetically make a Spyro 4 after Reignited Trilogy, hypothetically, what would the music be like.

And after i hurdle that train of hypotheticals, I would say that it might be more similar to Skylanders style music instead of Stewart Copeland's style, hypothetically.

And before you judge Skylanders and think its a *bleep* shame that Copeland wouldn't be involved directly, I just want you to understand that as much as I love Copeland, I would take Lorne Balfe and a possible Hans Zimmer over Copeland in a new Spyro adventure game anytime anywhere anyway...      ...hypothetically speaking of course.  (And yes, I know Zimmer only did the first Skylanders)

Chances are though, they would probably go with a completely different composer for future titles, but I think the uplifting element will continue for Spyro.  Nothing is going to sound iconic like Copeland, but I think they'll try to balance that epic feel with the light-hearted cartoony adventure style of the original trilogy.

you'd be surprised. there's this guy i found (thanks to Gekoncze!) and i think a lot of the stuff he makes would fit well in a Spyro game smile there are probably others, too. overall it'd be neat to see one of these lesser-known artists get a big role like that.

A brand new game. With new characters, levels, collectibles, etc. Also because the chance of the Machinists and the Aquifers making it into the Reignited Trilogy is almost 0%, they could appear in Spyro 4.

I would say their appearance is more than 0%, but a small chance.  But larger chance of that than TfB making a new Spyro game and putting in scrapped elements from 20 years ago.  If they are going to put hypothetical Spyro stuff from yesteryear in, it'll be now with Reignited Trilogy.  And if they make a Spyro 4, I want a brand new story and game with only the foundation of reignited trilogy's muse and TfB devs imagination being the launching point.

What I like about the Spyro worlds in all three games is the lore of making them connect.  And if they do connect, there are questions we are allowed to ask about the world, things like 'do dragons use engineering to their advantage?', 'Are there principalities in the dragon realms where they don't live, but reserve for recreation or something else?' and of course my favorite 'where do the dragons do their taxes?'  Those questions spark the imagination and creativity of making Spyro games so great and wonderful.  But what I wouldn't want, is to assumed they'll use scrapped dev material from the 90's proved that it exists.  The way I look at it is this:  What we got in the Spyro games is canon.  If an idea or concept isn't included in the game that shipped, then it's not canon.  Reignited Trilogy may expand that canon, or re-imagine the canon, maybe even dare to retcon things. But I think it's a little closed-minded to assume that the only acceptable route of making new Spyro content for the remastered trilogy and beyond is to rummage through Insomniac's notepads to recreate everything that could have been.  This is why i don't think a lot of people are reasonable about the possibility of Cynder being in Reignited Trilogy, because they think Cynder means dark emo Legend Cynder when they could totally rewrite her story to be adaptive to the original trilogy.  These examples and others are the reason I think people need to think more outside the box.  If a hypothetical Spyro 4 exists, I don't want it to be only based on fan expectations of the characters and the worlds.

I agree with this. Seeing the Machinists as a fully realized world would be cool but I can see you are coming from.
