Continue the TLoS series

Well, I know many hates them, but since this forum is for everyones meaning, I say mine.

I want the TLoS series continues at least 5 more games or something like that. I really love those games, and can't see why so many hates them.

And many people don't like the new games, because the new developpers finallly (in my opinion) decited to make a new amd great story for Spyro, and a whole new plot. They have really created an entirely new world for him, and as another quite revolutinary thing, they have made it a game, thats meant to feel like you're plying in a movie. It hasen't been done to many times before.

When I play the games, I can almost feel all the blood, sweat and tears that were put into this new game series. Although there are still some features, that I'd love to have from the old games, I can live with it, not beeing in the new, mainly because of the great epic story.

i would like to see more, but krome ans sierra did say it was "The legend of Spyro TRILOGY" so i think they'll have a happy ending at the end, that would be as nice as another game

Im not saying TLOS is bad but it is not meant for spyro...
Spyro's trademarks were portals, supercharge, Weird and wonderful minigames, a grand variety of levels and characters and humourous but interesting plots.
The TLOS plot may be good but seriously.... i has NO evidence of The older Games besides a few characters which have slight resembelence, so why the hell did they make it spyro?
they could of just made it Harton the dragon for all i care

They did that because they wanted to show some other potentials of the Spyro franchise. They have shown us that they were able to do a new Spyro game, without leaning up against the old storyline to do a cheap continuation. Many companies have been afraid to strife away from the original storyline because they were concerned about the profit, but Krome took a chance and did what Spyro has been needing for a looong time - a serios makeover.

Now now... I'm not dissing the original games because they were truly outstanding in terms of gaming revolution, but what I'm trying to say is, that I belive the former companies who developped Spyro, was to cautios about taking Spyro to a new level, that the games just began to lay dorment.

yep, i agree, Digital Equinox recked the timeline, Eurocom recked it even more, Gameboy titles fully screwed it up and Tlos made it healthy again, but it screwed me up.
Well Pip i sorta get your point, but just because a few stupid game companies cant get the plot right, we have to redo the series and abolish who spyro is?
I know many tried and many failed to stay by the same plot but atleast they didn't surrender like TLOS

They didn't surrender, it's a reboot of the series. Spyro's popularity was slipping... fast. If Krome hadn't stepped in with TLoS, it might have died off.

Belive it or not Spyro was on TV for a wile only a fue months, the show was a flop. [Look up "Spyro, the Purple Dragon" on wikapedia]

Yep, TLOS did surrender, they said "ok, the plot has crashed, why dont we just stuff it and make a new timeline", either that or... "wow cool, a dragon, Lets just stuff the other games and make a whole new idea"
TLOS may have increased spyro's popularity, but how the hell could you call it spyro?

They didn't abolish who Spyro is, because there are no limmits to who he can be. Many people have not accepted that maybe Spyro is a different character now, than he was in 1998 - but this is what character design is all about peeps - developping the character. Off course he can't be be stuck in the 90's forever, you'd be naive to think that.
It was Kromes assignment to revamp Spyro in a proper way, and despite the major pressure on them, they mannaged to get Spyro back up on the top 10 list again, that not only amazing - thats brilliant!

as I said...
They were told by Spyro's owner (Vivendi Universal Games / Sierra) that they had to do a serios revamp on the series and create something new and interesting. As it is, Krome and Amaze are in no position to argue with the publishers about this.

Nope, PIP, he isn't Spyro, He looks entirely different, he sounds entirely different, he acts intirely different, same as sparx.
The genre has changed, the Story has been revamped, the whole idea has changed, None of the original spyro "trademarks" are there.
I really dont care if hes on the top 10 list again, hes still not spyro. VU are crapholes if thats whAT THEY REALLY DID, i can think of tonnes of ideas using the original structure.
