lofty castle mean level i can't beat!!

help me! im stuck on this level- i think its called lofty castle, but ill go check. i can actually hear the trapped dragon shaking, as it does when ur near it. its so annoying, and i reaally want to get 100%, iv worked so hard on it and i dont want to give up now! please help! where on earth do i go?!!! iv been going in circles for nearly a week now, and im reeeeely fed up! pleez help before i go off spyro games forever.... :'( :'(

I've played Spyro 1 about 4 or 5 times. The next time I start the game, I'm gonna use a guide on the hard-to-find Gems & Dragons levels.

I do believe what you miss is the very hard reachable area. I had problems finding this to, but it's not impossible.
Use the super charge. when you get to the room with all the doors, bash out the door furthest away on the right side. From here run left and jump of the ledge so that you come back to where you first entered the castle. Charge up the road and jump. You should be able to reach a remote area, that costed me alot of extra lives.

Now don't worry bout all the treasure once you enter. you should simply just move across all the armors before they come to life, up the stairs, kill the wizard and smash into the door. there will be a fairy here giving you a permanent super flame for the rest of this level. Now smash the armors and take the treasures. Spyro = 100%

The breath is only for that one level, you loose it once you unenter the level

Ah rite. That's what I actually thought was the case for Spyro 2 aswell. You could only have it permanently within the level so I was surprised when I saw a vid on YouTube with the breath used throughout the game...

yeah, but that is a bonus breath. Like a little bonus for getting all orbs and gems. In the other games you don't get anything special to keep you in the game, but in Spyro 2 you do.

Yeah that sounds really cool. smile I suppose the bonus for beating Spyro 1 is Gnasty's Loot? As it's the level after the boss stage..
Do you know if there's a bonus for Spyro 3? I don't think I'll ever get far enough to find out! :S

Yeah. It's kinda like Gnastys loot. It's the sorceress's treachure chamber. Killing an egg thief here will leave you standing for minutes just watching all the gems popping out of hi XD the Spyro 3 bonus world is very funny as there are deadly cool challenges there.

Nah. There is a cheat, but you need to defeat the sorceress to use it. You should really take out the first boss Iceferno, you really should try. It's just horn charging all the time big_smile

The trouble I have with the first boss is when he returns from being pushed in the lava. He hurts me everytime he rolls at me. I need to find a way to avoid being squashed! :S

You can simply charge away from BUZZ and run in circles around the battlefield. He can't get you, he's not fast enough

That's what you think! ...Ok lol. I'll give it a try. Even I get sick of saying the same stuff tongue I have attempted the game only twice so it's still in mint condition. Well, so are my other 2 Spyro PS1 games i bought new but I've played them a load more! tongue

You don't run in circles at one point of course. You run around the entire arena with the square button.

You can complete Spyro 3 in 5 hours. 100%. The last 17% is good to save for later. I completed the game on a day last time I went through it. The only Spyro games I've played so far that I haven't completed in a day is AHT. The LOS series is probably long too.

... AHT lacks extra gameolay once you've completed it. You can keep on Spyro 2 for ever with the double-jump glitch
