Well it would be funny with a Insomniac/Naughtydog car game!
With Ratchet (on his scooter.... Vroom! weapon: Blaster)
Jak (on a hover bike! Weapon: Lazer cannon)
Spyro (Flying around with his wings! Weapon: Flames)
Sparx (Flying around too! Weapon: Fire!)
Clank (Vrooming around with a heli-pack, Weapon: Banana gun, it explodes)
Dexter (Vrooming around on another hover board! Weapon: Shockwave cannon)
Gnasty Gnorc (On his majestic pyterodactil! Weapon: Shockwaves)
Ripto ( Riding Gulp or another creature of his! Weapon: Orbs)
The sorceress ( Riding in her UFO! weapon: Staff)
Cherman Drake (In his spacecraft! weapon: Thunder flares)
Moneybags (sitting on his moneybag! Weapon, empty moneybags... he wouldn't toss his diamonds now would he ;-) )
Crash Bandicoot (on his jump stick! weapon, mask... he goes beserk with it...)
Doctor N cortex (in his looney balloney! weapon: Power cores!)
Captain Quark (in his green spacecraft! Weapon: Quark blaster! )
And the entire crew!

Well, What I had in mind is the system from the game Warriors Orochi for PS2, meaning a team of four, or three, or something, and being able to switch between them in the course of a mission. Be kinda cool if you ask me.

[glow=violet:ade7805a2b]I personaly like the games where they have gone. I like the cool attacks i can preform by mindlessly swinging my Wii remote around.. Thats the sort of game for me! I basicly like a game you can use the Wii remote for when playing on the Wii, not just one of those silly, connectable "Oringinal" controllers. The Eternal Night offers the sort of gameplay I like. Spyro's new look? I wouldn't mind it changing back to old Spyro, but actually, when you're playing the game he is MUUUUUUUUCCCCHHHHHH cuter! Plus if they just magicly change Spyro's look in the middle of the new series, people would get confused. All I want is for Ember to come back..not as Spyro's girlfriend, but as a side character. Me likes Ember, even though she acted like an airhead in AHT![/glow:ade7805a2b]

meh, the cool attacks well are...cool
And spyros looks is well...different and is uglier in some ways and cuter in another.
But i like the originals where you had all of these different minigames like hockey and freeing statues from evil spirits and in spyro 3's case many playable characters, the great tunes in spyro 1, the mysteries of supercharge, flying levels were you must beat the time or try for a new record, the great range of weird and wonderful enemies, the skill points which have your mind twitching, those funny little lizards, bouncy kangaroos which are also miners, some bear stealing all your gems, guys running away from you while laughing there head off, funny little turtles which try to jump into the soup, skateboarding, big colourful worlds and great plots...
You get my idea

What made Spyro so unique were the small miniquests and collectibles.

Ahhhhh, yes the minquests [and mingames] the little things that makes the game even better and draws us in more than a storyline ever could alone. I have to agree with LK.

I agree on that, these latest ones have been good on the storyline only and the gameplay is lacking, I doubt the third and final of these newest games will be any different.

I think there could be an even more indepth twist to Spyro gaming. maybe an open ended rpg where you get to make your own dragon, pick from one of the dragon clans (artisan, peace keepers, ect), and play in a vast open world instead of levels. You could maybe even have classes to choose from and of course you could get to fly. think about it: playing a huge dragon and flying over the rolling green hills or deserts and whatnot. and there could be other npc dragons that walk (or fly) around too and do things on their own. you could get quests by talking to them or something.

.. that sound so much like WOW it's not funny, actilly it is... and, truth be told, I would kill for a game like that, but it wouldn't be called "Spyro" it would have to be something like...... I don't know "Dragons" or something!

Not quite like wow. I think it would be better as a single player rpg instead of mmo. maybe some co-op playing but not an mmo. more along the lines of The Elder Scrolls.

i think the newer games are BETTER then the old ones. but yes they WERE FUN! big_smile but the newer ones its an actural story about spyro not just a game with him in it! thats what sf94 said! that the newer ones are a story about spyro and the older ones are just a game with him in it. THEY were REALLY fun THERE ALLLL HUGE FUN!!

SAils, i think i've said this tonnes of times.....
But i really, cant say it again......
*I MUST*...........

LOOK SAILS, THe new ones HAVE a nice story and the cutscenes are high quality and quantity, ok, thats cool.
But have you ever thought that insomniac were too busy making the Gameplay Ace that they made an avarage story... well yeah.
TLOS story is more epic and stuff but it only feels that way because of the seriousness, the dark colours, the "dark" type of story and the quality of the scenes.
The originals dont because they tend to be less serious, they have bright colours, the story isn't too "dark, and the quality isn't that good.
And as i've said many times, YOU BUY A GAME TO PLAY IT, NOT TO WATCH A STUPID MOVIE.
