You have to goto the main menu, and it has to be 10 of a kind, and you possibly may have to win the game before it will realize you have them.

The nanny won't give you anything, but you can unlock the ability to play minigames on the main menu, or be Ember or Flame by getting all the eggs in a certain set. I've managed to unlock Ember, but haven't managed to do the same with Flame.
