Is it worth it?

I've been seing the PS2 version of this game going for about $40, and I just had to ask this.  In your personal opinion, is it worth the $40 to go out and buy this game?  I'm a big Spyro fan, but I've been starting to doubt the series since ETD.  I don't want to buy it if I'll regret it.

Re: Is it worth it?

Ok, thanks.  Me and my sister just watched the trailer, and we think it looks quite good, but I still wanted public opinion.

Re: Is it worth it?

I've heard that the GBA version sucks, and it also looks like it sucks, so I'll probably just avoid that one altogether.

Re: Is it worth it?

I personally think it's worthy...but since this game is separating Spyro fans into 2 groups (the ones that say it sucks and the ones that say its the most awesome thing in the whole world) i suggest you rent it for a couple of days, dun worry, it's so short you'll surely finish it.

Re: Is it worth it?

I'm in between those two groups but closer to the "It's the awesomest thing in the world" group. Definitely. There weree a few kinks that needed to be worked out. it's shortness and over abundance of monkeys were two obvious problems.
Overall the game was good.

Re: Is it worth it?

as i have said, the only thing people loved was the storyline
this included cutscenes, voice acting (i'll explain later), general story, bosses, levels etc
otherwise this game would be as popular as AHT, but maybe even less
And the fact of having a prequel completely boostes it

Re: Is it worth it?

I loved this game very much and loved Spyro's new look! The only thing I didn't like was the levels cause they got kinda annoying, but I loved the music and the acting from Elijah Wood and Gary Oldman. Everyone should buy this game cause it rocks!

Re: Is it worth it?

I guess I'm in group 2.  The storyline is very important in action/adventure games.  Elijah Wood is also a big plus.
