So True. But I Hope When Old Spyro Comes Back He Stays True To Ol;d Spyro, And He Has As Good As Story As TLOS. TLOS is fun... for an hour

Re: Discuss The Legend of Spyro: The Darkest Hour

Well that would be a serious change on gameplay, so i dont think so. Think about TEN, it was practically the same engine as ANB except harder, Dragon Time, Palettes switched, more abilities, and levels switched.

Ummmm when has he ever been evil?? Okay that last bit in TEN before Cynder crash tackled him outta the Soul Beam (or whatever it's called)

But for that instance only, and at no other point in time has Spyro been evil smile

Re: Discuss The Legend of Spyro: The Darkest Hour

Hm...2 months from my b-day. (8-17-92)  MAN I CAN'T WAIT!!!  And by Free Flight...I hope they mean between levels, NOT the same level in some straight forward storyline.

Re: Discuss The Legend of Spyro: The Darkest Hour

i think they meant you can fly in the normal levels, otherwise they would of just said "Flying levels return"

Re: Discuss The Legend of Spyro: The Darkest Hour

No, what I ment was you could fly in between the levels (as in going to one level and the other...and possibly back to one before)...man that'd be awsome if they did, but flying IN the levels?  That'd be a little...too easy.

Re: Discuss The Legend of Spyro: The Darkest Hour

yeah, thats what i was thinking. Flying from level to level would be a pain, but if you only had to do it one time per level to level, it would be fine

I dont know if you have realised but the old Spyro will most likely never return. Infact after this game, spyro might be over.

Re: Discuss The Legend of Spyro: The Darkest Hour

I hope it doesn't end...or there might be a large riot in the world...and a bunch of angry spyroforum members.  Besides, Spyro probably makes too much money to be thrown out when LoS 3 comes out, I mean...he's a classic now. (Heck...he'd probably be featured in more games than Mario has...and he's been around since the 80's (I think))

Re: Discuss The Legend of Spyro: The Darkest Hour

Yeah, it will be a slim chance that he will return, another reason why i dispise TLOS.
Shade: Not me, but i'd like to see it continue in TV show/ Movie form like it was supposed to from the beginning

Re: Discuss The Legend of Spyro: The Darkest Hour

The chances of them making a new game in the continiuty is better than slim ratchet, indeed I would say it is likely. The trilogy has pumped new life into the character, yes he's not like the original Spyro, but that can't be helped. the third game promises to be a blend of old (Hunter's return/ introduction) and New (co-op with Cynder). Which should hold interest for most Spyro fans..

And I Do hope that if they do continue making games after TLOS, just hope the story is not messed up like in the original storyline ps2 console spyro games. The Return of Ripto?!?! No Elora?!?!? Where is Bianca in AHT?!?
