Re: power to the people's art thread

I absolutely am. (otherwise I'd have to pay attention in school <_< ) However the actual making of the comic has many layers but the first page should be done by tomorrow.

Re: power to the people's art thread

Man, I love your art, PttP! You need a dA account. smile

The details on your first dragon are really stunning. He's gorgeous. smile And do I see Kenshin fan art? I believe I do! big_smile I haven't watched that series in forever... Someday I shall have to finish it; it's one of a very few anime series I can watch without wanting to strangle myself. big_smile

Re: power to the people's art thread

I do have a confession to make. I'm a copycat artist. I am able to copy exactly other styles of art by simply drawing it once. So all the art I post is based off of multiple copied ideas. Like my newly acquired lineart ability I copied from Razz. The only thing that I was able to teach myself was how to shade. There are no physics or methods to my art. Basically I don't have a style that's my own and I envy that about other artists because they're able to come up with their own art just by thinking about it. I just thought I'd let you all know that.

Getting off of that depressing topic other arts are on the way. Thank you for your support.

Re: power to the people's art thread

That's nothing to be ashamed of. How do you think I learned to draw with a severe visual disability? It wasn't from life, that's for sure. big_smile I'm an art chameleon and I tend to just mish mash all the art I like into one constantly changing style that I can't recognize (though others have said I have a style of my own, I just can't see it).

The ability to draw just from looking at something is pretty dang impressive, if you ask me. And I think I can see a certain uniqueness to your work. It's in the details and the pencil lines you use. smile

Re: power to the people's art thread

I have the stragest feeling that Razz is going to try to draw Primrose...(I'd really like that!)

Re: power to the people's art thread

Mm, very nice. Super impressive drawings! smile
I don't think it's always bad to use another person's style. We've gotta learn from somewhere.

Re: power to the people's art thread

I basically used a technique, when I do drawings, from Razz's tutorial on how to draw Spyro big_smile

Re: power to the people's art thread

Well it turns out I'm not working today. I found that out as soon as I got to work. (Which is 11 miles away  mad ) Anyway I almost have the Razz picture tribute done and will be posted as early as tonight but for now I must drive home <_< .

Re: power to the people's art thread

Cynder794: I dunno about that. One can always hope, but I am so overworked right now (science...killing me with the awesome...).

I...was going to say more, but I totally forgot. So...dead...from work... *collapse; proceeds to have yet another dream about the Foucault pendulum*

Re: power to the people's art thread

Gah... I can never draw dragons. Well, except for the heads, but the bodies ALWAYS throw me off! I've been trying to draw my characters from the RPGs but I can only get the heads to come out right, and only as a side view. I never was good at frontal shots, or even angles. Your technique is amazing PttP.

Re: power to the people's art thread

I really do like my latest pic. Complete with homicidal toasts, Gaul out of the job, Horn sanders, and lazy "Ye Gods" characters. Lately I've been wanting to get back to the basics and do some refreshing lineart and this picture is the culmination of it. *sigh* Well I better get back to work on this picture can't slack off too much. big_smile

Re: power to the people's art thread

So...brilliant! XD You got Anubis and Lora dead on (I'm still laughing about both of them being in the stereotypical Heaven clouds XD). Pariah's face is to die for, I feel so bad for Gaul (but I'm still laughing), and OMG, look out Pyrus! XD Thank you so much PttP! XD
