Re: Dragons... I can never forget them...
Alright people, back on topic, please.
Dragons are not real. It would be cool if they were, but they are not. You can't believe everything you read.

Re: Dragons... I can never forget them...
Klone, I know you're a big friend of mine, but...
I THANK YOU A LOT FOR BELIEVING IN IT.
Dragons DON'T produce flames from their breaths. Instead, like snakes and the prehistoric dinosaurs that spit the venom, they spit out burning venom. They're teeths have 'spark pouches', which turn the venom into flaming substances that reach up to 1000 degrees Celsius.
I am basing my facts from Dr. Ernest Drake's dragonology book. Dragons were still in sight, although rare, about 6 centuries ago. They are continously killed because of humans wanting the richness from the caves. Dragons appreaciate precious things, and they're common likings are gems. Dragons hoard them greedily and immeadietly hides them in a safe place. Even if you have a tamed dragon you own (Ernest Drake had one), it will refuse to return the shiny objects that it may have hidden.
Saying this, that's why most books and games now have dragons in relations with gems, including the Spyro series.
When I have time, I'll be posting even more facts.
OK, last fact. There is very little evidence that is present between female dragons and male dragons. It's very hard to distinguish on how they're different once they're fully grown. The significance is in the reproductive system, the horns, and the tail. The reproductive system is obvious, and female dragons have shorter horns and tails.
DRAGONOLOGISTS HAVE EXISTED EVER SINCE 1604, THE EARLIEST I'VE READ, AND SOME SAY THAT SOME CHINESE PEOPLE ARE DRAGONOLOGISTS 6 CENTURIES AGO.
EDIT: Klone, I trust your facts, since you're from Europe, the continent that has the most facts about dragons. Draco occidentalus magnus exists in Europe, and other kinds of dragons of course exist in other lands. The next interesting kind of dragno would be the draco occidentalis martimus, which lives in the few parts of Greenland.

Re: Dragons... I can never forget them...
Dragons are probably extinct now, but there's been a lot of dragonolgists in the 14th century.
No doubt but there is none other beeste comparable to the mightie dragon in awesome power and majestie, and few so worthie of the diligent studies of wise men.
-----Gildas Magnus, Ars Draconis, 1465
I used a search engine for this evidence, and I saw a lot of sources.

Re: Dragons... I can never forget them...
I've found more hopefully-you-will-believe-in facts.
1.) If anyone has heard about the New York sewerage system error in 1872 (or 1862? can't remember, I'll take a look back later) , it was caused by someone concealing a dragon inside the system.
2.) I'm sure everyone's heard of the famous Marco Polo. In his notes, while venturing to China, he has encountered a few Knuckers and Lindworms. Knuckers are the lizard-like dragon with 2 pairs of legs, while the lindworm is the lizard-like dragon with only 1 pair of leg. Marco Polo claimed the Lindworm to be a giant crocodile, and later dragonologists said that "...and this is the lindworm, because it's impossible to be a crocodile, because even a child knows that a crocodile has 4 legs.", or something like that.
