My thoughts about Spyro After Ten Years.

When I heard about TLoS, some things began to annoy me, for this I shall spill out why.

One - When the character is first created from a game, it stays as a game, unless its a part of the cinematic for a game. Take Mario for Example. When he was first created (as a pixel character) in a game, he never even show himself at any movie, not even once. The only two exceptions for him are comical animations and magazines. Since then, other than Spyro, Mario is another of my favourites. I never seen Mario into any movies.

Two - If the character moves inside the movie, some people's faith will be lost. Most people liked Spyro's old face better than that new face of his. Seriously, I am beginning to think that Krome Studios is beginning to be the hatred of many kind, because he was started as a "game for children". The only part when I am focused is during TLoS: ANB. Other than that, I don't liked the rest. The rest looked more copied than that.

And Lastly - The reason for him not appearing in other crossovers other than Crash is due to a lot of company owning him. That explains why he didn't appear in a more-popular game as a guest. ITS BECAUSE THERE ARE TOO MUCH COMPANY FOR A SINGLE COMPANY TO SIGN IN, AND EVEN MORE, IT WILL COST MORE JUST TO GET A DARN SINGLE CHARACTER INSIDE YOUR GAME WITHOUT BREAKING ANY TERMS AND REGULATIONS. Thats the reason why I hated Krome Studios, because they took away the Spyro I previously liked.

Hate me or love me, I don't care. But if Spyro never comes into games officially again after that, I swear I am going to screw Insomanic for giving it to the wrong company, because THEY ARE ONLY MAKING HIM WORSE.

Thats my rant.

EDIT To spyrorocks: I am one of the few ONLY members who are not looking forward to the movie. Thanks.

Re: My thoughts about Spyro After Ten Years.

And in case if you don't get what I am talking about:

Think about it.The TLoS was only implemented right AFTER Krome got him. ANB.. I know that one is okay, but Eternal Night? It is starting to upset the entire timeline for Spyro. I am serious. What happened to Ember and Flame, what about others? This is very serious. If Krome Studios doesn't do anything about it, lets say this, Insomniac shouldn't be the one who made him in the first place.

Even so, many people don't care. they just read only a portion of it and thought that it was another view.

I know TLoS is from another universe, then again, if you checked at some site holding info. about Spyro, You will notice that his history was mislead.

Seriously, TLoS really spoiled the entire history.

There was a Mario movie, and a Sonic movie. And both of those had cartoons.

This part is impossible to follow, but for the first time in years the number of people playing Spyro games is increasing instead of decreasing.

And Lastly - The reason for him not appearing in other crossovers other than Crash is due to a lot of company owning him. That explains why he didn't appear in a more-popular game as a guest. Re: My thoughts about Spyro After Ten Years.

You do know Mario did appear in a movie starring himself. It's called super mario brothers. It had real people in it though.

Re: My thoughts about Spyro After Ten Years.

To DragonFire: That was a flunk. That wasn't even a movie at all, like that ratchet said.

To Gwenio: I did not say anything about sonic, did I? I already knew Sonic was in his own series, but NOT mario.

Re: My thoughts about Spyro After Ten Years.

I think a Spyro movie will only hurt the genre. It most likely dumb out the series. What needs to happen is that a new Insomniac-esque game needs to be made. What Insomniac did was go for gameplay rather than graphics, while games today go for graphics rather than gameplay. Also Insomniac didn't try to make it into something it wasn't. Spyro is just a cartoonish dragon made to be into a fun video game. Krome has made him into something he isn't. It's like remaking the Die Hard movies with Crash Bandicoot as the hero. It wouldn't be cool, it would just be dumb, because you know that's not how it's supposed to be. Game companies don't understand now adays. The old Spyro's were all smashing hits sales-wise. Yet, they decided to deviate from the style of the games that did good, and make their own Spyro style, all of which have done dismally in sales. So, why not use some brains and make the games in the style that actually worked and made sales? The old fashioned way, not the stupid Lord of the Ring's Rip-off crap. Spyro needs to be brought back to his roots - where he belongs.

Re: My thoughts about Spyro After Ten Years.

For God's sake! When is anyone going to get into their heads that Krome took Spyro and made it T.L.o.S to SAVE the series, not ruin it. And they're succeeding. A movie is a sign that's its doing really well. I never heard anything about the old Spyro getting a movie. I recommended the games to alot of people and they played it and liked it.
Hell, i'm not even sure if many of them had even heard of Spyro before T.L.o.S.
Anyway, if i sound like a ranter, meh. It's just my view.

Re: My thoughts about Spyro After Ten Years.

The only reason people constantly make idiotic statements about how bad LoS is, is because they changed right away. Look at Sonic; he's changed from the little sprite running through 2D levels in games for everyone of all ages, now he's in PS3 and Glitch Box quality 3D and with E+10 games (minus the cameo he had in a game that was rated T). In an uncoming game for DS, what's been released it quite mature for it being Sonic, thus the game will probably earn a T rating.

Sonic has been around almost twice as long as Spyro, and has had the same thing with less and less people playing the games, so over time, the franchise has changed. This has happened to Spyro, just not so gradual.

Re: My thoughts about Spyro After Ten Years.

Genio just quoted Theory with debatable cooments, he didn't "win the thread".
Under Game_Girl's rules, i am not allowed to debate with you, and i guess that i dont fit in the group of people who dont like TLOS because "they changed right away" seeing i dont make IDIOTIC statements about it.
About Sonic: Most people havn't liked any recent sonic games anyway, but atleaast if i can say it, it has been made by the same people who really know how the story should happen, not to mention that he hasn't gone through a rebot, changed his personality & looks, nor its main features and style of Gameplay.
2D-3D: If Spyro was originally 2D and changed to 3D, i wouldn't mind it all, as long as it kep the same style

Re: My thoughts about Spyro After Ten Years.

Theory, the legend of pyro is a whole new storyline. Ember flame aren't part of it, although they may be included in future games. and inmo with the third game, we're seeing the developers trying to add enough new wrinkles to garner the interests of the fandom. How many of us wanted co-op? We're getting it. How many of us wanted more flying in the games? We're getting it. ithe first Spyro game I ever played was ETD, I have AHT, and the LOS series. they wouldn't be making plans for future games if interest and sales weren't there.
