Re: Too far?

wasn't it on that Slideshow thing?
Anyway, Spyro 3 was aimed for everybody

What's "that slideshow thing"?

The first three were aimed for everyone, yes. I think that pie graph thing of Admin's was pretty accurate as far as the new games go, though.

Even though it does illustrate my point quite well.

Thats from an official spyro powerpoint presentation for the movie.

Yes, I randomly made up statistics because I was bored and 99% of statistics are made up anyways.

Re: Too far?

Yays.

I have a few objections to that powerpoint.

1. Pokemon>>>>>New Spyro.
2. Pokemon>>>>>>Yugioh>>>>Spongebob.

Edit: Curse your markup. >_>

Re: Too far?

I udnerstand the concerns here, but hey - we're getitng a movie, I ain't gonna complain tongue

A lot of game characters have had movies over the years. That said, not all of them were especially... successful. Anyone remember the Mario movie? No? Good  <_<

Still, Sonic has had several successful spin off series from the games, and a few other video games have had successful spin offs too. resident Evil went down well in the box office...

The Legend series has the ptoential to make a good, coherent movie. They COULD screw it up big time, but they might not. Only time will tell.  Perosnally, it can't be ENTIRELY bad smile

Re: Too far?

BTW, The aniamtion company Velvet Octopus HAVE been confirmed as the makers for the new movie and they DO exist (though the movies they've made in the past haven't been great). Trust me, I'm an aniamtion student.

The powerpoint is here: http://velvetoctopus.com/spyro/index.htm

Do your RESEARCH, people.

Do YOUR research. Velvetoctopus is NOT the animator, only the distributor.

Whoops. Sorry hmm

My mistake, but at least I checked on it's veracity.

Re: Too far?

It WILL be a publicity stunt, no doubt about it. Happens to all the big games (except for Sonic, because they're having copyright issues that prevent a movie ever being made, at the moment). But that don't mean it won't be half decent. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Re: Too far?

I think the movie will be good, but, it is going kind of far.

I mean, after the new Spyro games came out I lost intrest for a while until I went back and played the first few games again. They oversold a good thing and now it seems they're trying to milk it for all its worth.
