Re: Next Spyro games
Maybe, But most of those characters you mentioned arn't avalarians. They could bring em back, but once again they'll change their looks and personality.
Spyrofriend:Most reviews of TEN have been around 5 or 6, this was the same for ETD. AHT got a stronger mark but still not matching the originals.
I think Gamespot are harsh reviwers and only Do good reviews for Mario and more popular title games.

I generally don't listen to GameSpot; they gave Zelda: Twilight Princess, one of my favorite games, an 8, while other sites gave it a 9 and 10. Reviewers are human beings with opinions like us, despite the fact that many of them think of themselves as perfect, flawless, and more important than the rest of the world.
I just had to say that about reviewers. LOL.
Same deal with the Legend of Spyro series. Despite any bad "reviews" that it may have gotten, you can't deny that it's doing very well for what it is. There's enough money going into it to ensure a third game, and that's something.

Re: Next Spyro games
I don't think the new Spyro storyline will end in TLoS III or TLoS the Movie... The TLoS trilogy will end, but they can start a new trilogy with a story a few years after TLoS, focusing in a new villain instead of the D.M.
The characters would look different 'cause they would be older. And some new characters would be introduced, too.
But that doesn't mean the gameplay would still be the same from TLoS. I like the new combat gameplay, but I like the old Spyro games, too.
In my opinion the perfect gameplay in a Spyro game would be a Combat/Exploration Hybrid.
I also would like to see Spyro swimming again, and flying instead of gliding.
And I don't wanna see many characters from the old storyline returning... Hunter is enough for me, but if someone else is gonna return, I hope it’s just Bianca (‘cause she’s Hunter’s girlfriend) or Sgt Byrd (‘cause I’d like to play with him).

Re: Next Spyro games
I kinda Agree with Renan, it would be an interesting game controlling a dragon elder and doing combat, yet flying, yet swimming yet exploring.

Re: Next Spyro games
Sorry, but old Spyro games > New ones.
The legend of Spyro series has removed everything I loved about the Spyro games and replaced it with boring combat, no exploration, and less gameplay variety then a Ice Cream Bar that sells only Vanilla Flavor.
I'm hoping that after "The Darkest Hour" Krome will get their act together and make a GOOD Spyro game.
If not, I'm gonna be mad...

Re: Next Spyro games
I hate TLOS so much! I have many childhood memories of the old games. Krome are destroying Spyro the dragon. I feel sorry for people who haven't played the older games. They are getting the idea that this TLOS garbage is what Spyro is really about. Spyro shouldn't have become what it is today, a big mess.

I really wish they would make a game like this, maybe set in the original dragon worlds from the first game. But, alas, will they ever listen to us and what we want?

Re: Next Spyro games
XD! The Ember and Cynder fight is in a story I wrote. FF.net, One of those Girls. Also, I'd like to see a game that stars Cynder. Maybe have her save Spyro! <_<

Re: Next Spyro games
I'd like to see a Spyro racing game, with all the characters from the old series, though I wish they would include Cynder as well. There have only been 3 girl dragons in total mentioned in the Spyro series. No, tell a lie, there are two female dragons in Shadow Legacy as well, but you get my point. They should make a racing game if (what we all hope will happen) they introduce Hunter in Darkest Hour so all the old characters can be incorperated into the new series as well. I would love to see some of the old villans with better graphics.

Re: Next Spyro games
They have a good storyline and all but I agree with MOST of you. The combat system is very limited to what could do. Most puzzles are completely too easy. (for me... he he) Exploration is nearly gone from the recent two games that makes it less interesting. The games are lacking next-gen visuals. (The way the water reacted in Spyro 4 was impressive...I want to see more realistic environments) I can just list so many things that seem so... poorly done. I did heard TLoS series started out as a prequel. I'm trying to wrap it around into the older games and import it into a sequel I'm planning to do after AHT. (I don't care if it's a prequel series or not... I'm doing it.)
I don't care how it looks but how it functions
