I like more TLOS series, but it doesn't mean that I hate the old ones. It's just that I've played only YotD from the old series. And I haven't played it for a while.
I prefer TLOS because I like more it's action, challenges, storyline and graphics. And other thing is that I haven't got good gaming feeling about the old series, because
I've played only one of them. I hope you understand.

Yes he did, yet an ordinary dragon probably would have cried and cried and probably rescued one dragon or a few and then gave up.
BTW, i emailed Insomniac about 4 years ago and they said that Rescued Dragons could not help Spyro because it takes a while for dragons to recover after crystalized.

No, as i said, them being crystalized drained all their energy, where they go to is the fairy realms, where all the female and young dragons were at the time. The Transport is only 1 way though. That is what they said.

It was because they werent really focused on narrative, so it wasn't in the game, or in the manual either. But they did have their ideas in their heads, and have posted some background story on some old forgotton websites.

i always did wonder why the dragons just abandoned spyro after he rescued them. I assumed that they were either

a.) still susceptible to Gansty's freeze beam

b.) had to go fight gnorcs somehwere else in the Dragon Realms

The explanation about needing to recover makes a little more sense, though.

Also, about whether spyro was special or not, in Spyro the Dragon, at the end of Ice Path or Ice Cave on Peacekeepers, one of the dragons you release alludes to spyro being a "chosen one" of some kind. I always wanted them to expand on that. But that might be an answer to that question. Ratchet is right, though, they weren't really focused on narrative. LOS has a good story, but its hard to compare to the originals becuase they really didn't have a serious story. It was just there to keep the game moving. I kind of like the fact that there is a complex storyline now, but i miss the old characters and portals.

I like both series for seperate reasons, even though LOS got me back into the series. The first three were awesome, and same with TLOS.

Its pretty much Because Some old Lovers are disgraced about the Reboot, how it just forgets the old Timeline like nothing happened, and Some like me think that Games like TLOS have nearly shattered the series entirely. Lookat it from my point of view, the next developer if their is one to look at the newest games-TLOS for ideas first, and there is the cycle. That means that the OLd Spyro will never return, it is just like ending the series but having some reincarnated modified version running around.

My reasons are that the gameplay has changed so much. Also the old games had something for me when I was little. The sense of exploration and discovery and when you walk into a room packed with gems, you feel suprised. The new games however have no value to me as in the way of memories. That's why I like the original level Dark Hollow so much. It brings back so many memories back of when I was 6.

Congratulations but you don't hold a firm base for your argument. :-P Compared to the originals there is something horribly wrong with TLOS's gameplay.

juice box: there definitely is a sense of nostalgia when you go through those old games. me and my brother played through the originals last summer, brought back a lot of memories.

Yeah, collecting all the gems was a pain, but collecting them and finding huge bunches was just plain fun. I love going crazy in Gnasty's Loot.
