Spyro a villian?

Well, what would everyone think? What if you had the chance in a game to be able to have Spyro walk the dark path....to make him into the titular villian in his own right...instead of the traditional hero?

Personally, I think that would rock. I dunno, but I always thought the idea of an evil Spyro very...intriguing. Even if he wasn't the main person you controlled....even if the game starred, say, Hunter fighting against his former friend.

I just want to know everybody's opinion on this.

why? Is hes a villan , it will cause confusion. so the answer is NO.

I think a 'good guy gone bad' premise would be interesting for the Spyro franchise only if and I mean this... if it was done well with respect to each of the characters personalities and relationships. Since Vivendi has sadly proven over the years they can't create a decent Spyro game without screwing it up in one way or another I have to say I don't have much faith in them. The premise can only work well if handled by people who know what they are doing otherwise the franchise will get royally screwed up.

And, ladies and gentlemen, that is something that none of us want to see happen considering the recent dismal history of the franchise. The series is slowly starting to turn around now. The Legend of Spyro, despite being a reboot, has helped the franchise. So in the end my vote would be: YES, I would gladly support this premise if it was done right and considering Vivendi's track record I am deeply afraid they would screw it up.

Sounds interesting, yeah. I could imagine some scenes in that, but... what would Spyro be fighting for to show his evilness? All I can say is it's supposed to be that Spyro is a good character at the start, later converted to his own greediness, then you would play another character, preferably either Cynder, Ember, Flame. Others that could be possible are Hunter and Blink, but the 3 dragons are the best choice, because you could make some OTPs out of it LMAO.

To be honest spyro evil ermmmmmmmmmm sounds interesting but then again spyro's personality isnt the sort to go from good to evil just like that maybe in time

I would side on the person who said that it sounds like an interesting concept, but the company that makes the game mustn't screw it up. In spite of that, we've seen such awkward spin-offs like Shadow the Hedgehog and whatnot, so I feel kinda worried. If it does happen, odds are Cynder could be a playable character in that one.

It would be cool but it would also be cliche'. It's been done before though, not with Spyro of course. I've even written a fanfic about Spyro being evil. I'm never going to show it to anyone.
I think it would be better if they made a game. I hate having to think for myself.

It would be interesting to see him as a villian, they should make a game where he could develop either good powers or evil powers kinda like what they did with Jak in Jak & Daxter II. Yes, most interesting.

Spyro a villain isn't a bad idea imo. I mean, some people have to be bad sometimes...I think. Well...at least show off their dark side. So, I think Spyro as a bad guys (temporary, I guess) would be cool. Maybe it could be something like Shadow the Hedgehog. Like you do certain things in each level and it determines your path...yeah...that'll be awesome.

And to the others above that said no...calm down. Geez, no offense, but yelling about it, shouting "NO" is not really necessary, it's just a opinionated idea. No reason to jump off the handle. =/

It's an interesting idea. In my fangame, he does turn to the "dark side", so I think it would be pretty cool.

Hmmm.... well seeing as how I might make Spyro a temporary villain in my story, I like the sound of that, but it would have to be done correctly. Evil curse anyone?

Still, who likes the idea of Spyro clones? Evil ones. Some can even be like the Shadow Clones of Sora from KH.

Spyro is way to cool to be a villian. I couldn't ever be happy if he became evil! I'd hide in a dark corner crying While time passes by with spyro being evil. Iv worked into my little teenage mind that Spyro will always be good. He is my hero... He must stay good.

Hey, it does happen sometimes. Besides, I'm thinking about doing so temporerailly in my Wrath of Convexity series, and I'll also try to make it seem like he did something evil, but really it was the fault of someone else. Still, in the long run he should stay a hero. If he didn't, then writing stories wouldn't be as fun! neutral

that would be cool, but i think spyro needs to go through some more trauma first. it wouldn't really make sense for him to go from cheery and carefree to evil.

In some regards , he WAS evil in TEN. Dark Spyro was evil, corrupted by the great power he possessed. it was temporary, but it was also very intriguing. Becoming evil is often a choice made, no creature considers himself to be evil, no matter how wicked he may be. Hitler did not consider himself evil, although just about anyone else would say he was.
