March 8, 2008 - THE WARNING:
Ok, before you go out and buy this game, let me ask you. Have you completed "The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning?" Well, if not, buy that first. That ensures that you understand the storyline of this game as it relies heavily on "A New Beginning." A New Beginning first, because you will regret opening a big spoiler for the rest of your life!

THE RANT:
Whoa! I'm totally stunned! It's like the game I really like! There is the over-the-top difficulty, which I like most. In some places I take days to solve one piece... It's just fun. The controls are fit for me, really easy to remember. Gameplay and Storyline are intense, but sometimes I have to take a break. Overall, this game deserves my ratings. Good. Great! Best! Greatest! Something worthy of my collection! And there are challenges too after you beat the game. Nice!

THE GOOD:
Storyline is too good to finish. Great battle system. Action all around. Took me a month to beat so length is not too short like on A New Beginning. Really hard bosses, Dragon Time.

THE BAD:
The slo-mo effects are sometimes annoying and I want to turn it off!

THE UGLY:
IGN giving it a 3.5 because Spyro needs a higher skill level to play. Much higher skill level than Halo, God of War, GTA and all that other tat. Eh?

Presentation - 9.5
Gameplay is great, Storyline continues very, very well and I feel "attached" to the characters. After beating the game, you are presented with "challenge series." Nice!

Graphics - 9.0
Graphics are candy. Explosions, characters and everything. There are some Frame Rate dips though. Love those FMVs.

Sound - 9.2
Clearly audible speeches, but turn your subtitles on! Nice voice acting, explosions, sounds were great! Music sets the tone of the game.

Gameplay - 9.8
It's very good! Enemies are lots, difficulty is extreme and bosses are really hard to beat. Be patient. It sometimes takes me days to get past a section.

Lasting Appeal - 9.8
I am deeply sunned. Bravo, Krome! Keep it up! I'll keep this game forever!

I dont understand why Spyrorocks locked my review, Gamegirl was obviously being a bit extreme... but anyway, this isn't the time.
I Can point out flaws in this review in my opinion, but dont really want to, because i see you enjoyed yourself and that is all that really matters.
Saying one thing though, you only put how the gameplay was hard, are you saying that a hard game is excellent? Alright, i'll go make some crappy hard game, see if you like that? Sorry if i am sounding mean.

What is IGN thinking about the skill level of playing it? I suck in many games, so my skill level should be low, but still TEN isn't too hard for me.
And about your review about TEN... IT'S AWESOME!!!

Um, I enjoyed the game because I have to think hard to solve it. Kind of a challenge as everyone says... I can't call the game crappy, but searching your review I seen that you have not beaten the game yet before giving it a review!

Oh, for goodness <I>sakes</i>Ratchet...

I'm with you about the over-the-top dfficulty, Dopplegangergang. Some bits were just plain murder, and I've been playing these games for years so you'd think I'd have a grasp of them by now. It wasn't enough to put me off completing it though.

no i am not implying that you are selfish i was just saying that if you enjoyed yourself, it doesn't matter if i was right or wrong.
Yeah, i havn't beaten it yet, and i tried once again yesterday and after 5 minutes i got a headache (SERIOUSLY) not because it was hard, just because it was frustrating.... so i dont know if i will ever get the strength to want to beat this game.
PS: I was planning on finishing the game and then doing another review, but Spyrorocks locked it before i could...

Yup.. The game is murder on some parts and my brother threw the controller to the pillow. I was like... "GRRRRR!" on some parts.

its prettyeasy for me to get frustated and get a headache, i am up to a pirate ship part, and this is the only part i've found in the game that is hard because of the number of enemies. Blasted Headache!

The enemies are very vulnerable to one element, and sometimes outright immune to one element. You should use the right one.

9.9? hmm I give it a 9.999999 because the only thing I found wrong with the game was that it was too short! I sure hope The Darkest Hour is longer, I beat The Eternal night in less than 12 hours. o_O
