What do you mean it's gonna be great? & WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE PS2 GAMES SO FAR HAVE BEEN GOOD?!?!?!?!?
I happen to have played a new beginning, & IT IS NOT good.
It does NOT have the original game play, this time it's an action/shoot 'em up (only with dragon fire). It does NOT re-make the original, infact it's a completeley different take on Spyro's childhood & completely ignores the PS ONE trilogy (WOW, the story is STUPID & INCOHERENT).
The voice acting is HORRENDOUS. Eligah Wood Frodo: Perfect. Spyro: Worst you will ever see
NONE of the PS2 games are good & are all including this one are AN INSULT to the Spyro name.

Are you kidding!? This is the BEST SPYRO GAME EVER!!! I'm not sure what the PS One background includes (cause I onlt own the first one), but this story trups anything me or YOU could think of!!! This is the best Spyro ever, and you know it!!!!

Well, I anyway do NOT like this game, but I was NEVER critcising your opinions, I was only expressing what I thought of the game.
(HATED IT!!!)
If you want the TRUE Spyro games then get the original trilogy by INSOMNIAC.
And if by some impossible chance you prefer this one, well if not for the original trilogy then this rip-off would never have been made, just a thought.
& I most certainly do not "Know it!" Mr./Ms. Ice Dragon!

I didn't hate ANB, but I didn't really like it either. You can't really call it Spyro because the developers changed too many things. The only thing it has in common with the original games is that the main character is a purple dragon named Spyro.

I think, however, ANB wasn't such a bad game. It just wasn't the same like the other games before.

Yes - i think the graphics were very well^^...but it's everytime the same - some people like a game, some people not... but we should respect the opinions of the others too

Well, the way I see it, Gnice Gnorc is simply longing for the days of Insomniac Game`s work on the series. Knowing how much work they out into designing their characters (Gnasty Gnorc, Hunter, Elora, Zoe, Moneybags, Ripto, Crush, Gulp, the Sorceress, and just about every other character on the PS1 games), I`m pretty sure GG`s sad to see all those characters vanish like they never existed. TBH, I`m with him on that one. I`ve grown fond of the original series` characters as well, so I, too, resent VU a little for deciding to just forget about them like that.

But, I can`t control what everyone thinks (not that I`d want to, anyway, as that would make for a very dull world), so I`m not going to outright diss or call anyone who likes the post-YotD games disloyal. Both parties are loyal in their own way; the IG Spyro-lovers are loyal to the foundation of the entire franchise, while the fans of games after that are simply following the purple dragon`s next adventure, although some of the younger fans in particular only know the psot-IG Spyro, in which case they shouldn`t be automatically expected to like the IG Spyro since they may not have even known he existed.

I, personally, am none too interested in anything VU or it`s affiliates have to throw at us in terms of the purple dragon`s games; I loved the PS1 games, and I stand by them through thick and thin, although admittedly I also own (and have beaten) Spyro: Season of Ice for the GBA. Decent game, but rather thin in terms of story and gameplay. I like the game`s considerably-closer-to-PS1-Spyro style, though. All in all, I`m just fine with anyone who likes the post-IG Spyro games; so long as they have the sense (like you guys) not to try and shove it down my throat, I`ll let them enjoy their Hero`s Tails and New Beginnings in peace.

In the end, it`s all still just a game, no reason over which to fight or argue. There`s my two cents for ya.
