if they are frosen they don't get older, they must still be young in the next game

A energy generated Ice crystal thingy that temperaraly stops the functions of all bodys parts so that the being trapped within it wont sufficate to death. This crystal would have to be some sort or ice like material so that when the time is right it will dissapate releaseing the thing trapped inside...

I think they are frozen in some kind of crystal. Also when the get out of the crystal. (which is a few years later) they do appear to look bigger and older.
