Favorite Spyro Game

My personal favorite is Spyro: Year of the Dragon, but I'm not sure why. I just favor that one above the others. I haven't tried A New Beginning yet, though.

I personally liked Ripo's Rage the best, although, Year of the Dragon was a good game, and introduced alot of the stadards used in later games. I am, however, driven in fascination by the world of Avalar

But, that was introduced in spyro III, and yes, I think it was a good concept. As for my favorite Spyro Game of all time, I'd have to pick Ripto's Rage; That was the first spyro game I really got into, I had a tough time playing the first one, until I played Spyro II beforehand. Then, things got easy. I really disapprove of the latter of the series

I loved Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! cuz it was really fun. They interduced Hunter, Elora, and Spyro's new abilty to swim [Which I freaked out when I got the game, cuz of that ability.]!

I did like AHT cuz it was extremely fun. I thought it was gonna suck, but when I saw I got to actually play as Hunter, I fell in love with it.

How'd you know?! Joking... Yes, I love Hunter, although in his orignal look he head a football head. =/

But I don't know why I didn't like YotD... It was fun, but it didn't have a good plot.
Same with EtD. Ewwww.... I still liked both of 'em though.

Actually, that's the first game on Xbox. The first game for gamecube is ETD. By the way, my favourite game is AHT.

Guys i simply adored spyro the dragon 1 the original ^_^ It was awesome I loved it, spyro a new beggining kinda sucked, but its graphics were awesome.
And the new breathes woah! Who would have thought of a sound blast?

Ripto's Rage was probably the best planned out game. I like Spyro 3 the best too.

Because I didn't play him all series yet so I vote...
The legend of Spyro A New Beginning
because the music was awesome and effective with awesome Dragon design.

Second one is A Hero's Tail.

I voted for Classic Spyro the Dragon, but I want vote for three classic games too. (Spyro the Dragon, Ripto's Rage, and Year of the Dragon) I like to play as Spyro only, not other team Hunter and others. I'm interesting in both classic and newer, classic is much like than newer. I want to buy a Spyro the Dragon Collector's Edition for PS and PS2 on the eBay. It's rare.

Having monitored Spyro's progress since E3 1998, I will happily say Ripto's Rage. Comparing it to the original title, there were so many improvements in the structuring and whatnot, including the boss battles, the save system, story development, and the first exposure to Spyro's best voice (Tom Kenny FTW). Year of the Dragon was also good, though the jump wasn't quite as significant outside the addition of the new characters like Sheila and Agent 9. That, and my disc is broke so I can't comment too much sad

Yeah, the saving system in Spyro the Dragon was annoying. Always having to find a dragon platform before you can quit... hard to explain to my mom when she's yelling at me to "get off the stupid Gamestation."

Year of the Dragon had the best storyline out of the original three.
