Let me comment on your saying you don't want to get on Spyro's bad side. i'm writing a story about what happens when you DO get on spyro's bad side! Spyro is all loveable and all, but he is a powerful dragon who knows when to attack and he will do so if you push him too far.

Comparison:
Spyro is slightly overly-heroic, but this is mostly because Elijjah Wood makes him talk in the SAME STUPID VOICE OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!!
Example:
Intended line:
Spyro: (cocky) I wouldn't miss it, Gaul!
Elijjah's voice:
Spyro: (heroicly) I wouldn't miss it, Gaul?
Intended line:
Spyro: (slightly arrogant) I've made it this far, haven't I?
Elijjah's voice:
Spyro: (heroicly) I've made it this far, haven't I?
Elijjah apparently can't do any voice besides Mumble. Some times it sounds okay, but it usually just makes him sound overly heroic. Other than that, Spyro is a really cool character, like a more tolerant version of Shadow the Hedgehog that can still kick your butt if he gets mad.
Cynder hasn't shown enough personality yet for fair comparison (she's only had about two scenes were she says more than three lines). From what I've seen of her, she's a serious character like Spyro that's just confused about a lot of things.
So my vote goes to Spyro!
(But Cynder does LOOK like she'll be a cool character in DotD.)
(Note: My idea of seious characters are Shadow the Hedgehog, Yusei (Yugioh 5d's), and Shinji (Neon Genesis Evangelion)
