Re: Spyro Stopping Time In The New Game
Yes, but they also said somewhere that "3 years later they have been freed from the crystal"
So both sentences are true, and in this case they both mean the same thing.
I have only thought you were new to english because grammar in other languages could differ, and this is an international forum.
EDIT: Umm, no one really learns how to speak english in the first 5 months of being alive. O:) I'm sorry, but that was hilarious in your post.
Well if you could find me that sentence that would be great. But that doesn't make both sentences true since they hold different meanings.
Lol, you really thought I was new to English? Silly. :-P
And like you said - don't be so literal.

I dare you to tell me those means without using the words 'since' or 'for'...

Okie dokie.
"Three years have passed since they were trapped."
That pretty much means that three years ago, they were trapped. And sometime later, they were freed. But we still don't know exactly how long they've been trapped. Not 3 years, I can tell you that.
There you go. Didn't use either of those words.
All this made me sleepy though, so I'm off to bed now.

Your being literal again... The game starts 3 years after they are trapped... Now it would be a pretty bad game if it started about 2 months before they were release. That is like saying that the game will allow you to fly anywhere at anytime, and you think there is a certain place called anytime in a level called anywhere, and it only allows you to fly there...

What? Do you know what literal means because I don't see how I was being too literal again? I simply took your dare and did it.
Starting a game 2 months before they were released wouldn't make any sense. They'll still be trapped.
I don't even know what you're trying to say in the next statement ...

Look, it said the game took place right when hunter finds them, so the game will start just before they get released, and since the game also starts 3 years since they were trapped, then that means that they have been trapped in the crystal for 3 years. I'm sorry you don't understand that.

Dang. I almost thought you had it ...
Your first part is possibly right ...
Next part is possibly right ...
And then you're wrong.
If they're released right when Hunter finds them, then how could they be trapped for 3 years? I don't think Hunter would just stand there by the crystal for 3 years waiting and watching.

Re: Spyro Stopping Time In The New Game
That's a question that no one will know but Netoguy is right it does take 3 years later and how Spyro and Cynder and Sparx matured that is one of the many Video Game Mystery's that will never be solved goodbye.
RIP Test AKA Andrew Martin.

Re: Spyro Stopping Time In The New Game
If we are to assume that they indeed get released from the crystal 3 years later, I don't think that's "one of the many video game mysteries" I think that's just lazy writing. Like Shadow the Hedgehog's many backstories.
Hey guys, even though Shadow was "created" 50 years ago he coincidentally looks like Sonic and we made him a hedgehog for some reason. Also, you can apparently clone robots from an original source as seen in Sonic Heroes!!!
Granted, there's no need to question a storyline when the game's already purposely bizarre anyway, or there's no need to question in-gameplay stuff. (Like how enemies vanish when you defeat them.) But when a storyline's trying to be serious business, things like that are just shoddy.

Yea, just like he explained how to glide, walk, talk, save, and other stuff that everybody knows before they play the games...
I wonder what kind of personality Hunter will have in DotD.

"Yo Spyro, I'm going off into an epic and totally serious war! I lost my combat boots this morning but I should be fine. Wish me luck man!"
Yeah... I don't see how this is going to work, although that would be awesome.

It's gonna be hard to get his personality right... But I am guessing he will be like a noble type serious, judging by the way he dresses.

Re: Spyro Stopping Time In The New Game
I read somewhere that Hunter will be more serious in this game. I'm gonna miss the scaredy cat he used to be... maybe he's just acting tough and all that but at the end of the game he'll look at DM and faint, That would make me smile
(Excuse me for the rubbish pun I put in as I just couldnt help myself)

he can't. wish he could, but he can't.
My mind is like a lighting bolt. One brilliant flash, and then it's gone.
