toasty, dr shemp, blowhard, metal head, jacques, and gnasty gnorc was just to EZ can some1 explan Y??

I don't think a lot of games had difficult bosses back then. It was much more common for them to just take a few hits. As games started to evolve and change, the bosses got tougher.
I don't know if it has anything to do with it being "child friendly;" the next two were also child friendly, and the bosses were significantly harder.

Maybe they made them too easy inadvertently, seeing as it was the first game. You're always gonna have problems the first time round

Mweh, don't think so. I think they weren't really meant as "bosses", but as levels with a more difficult enemy. After all, I think every Spyro level of S1 was meant to be of equal length.

Not only was it a child-friendly game, but the bosses were entire levels. So I guess that just meant the whole level was considered a boss, rather than the individual creature-thing.

The bosses actually got easier as the game went on... Gnorc is just a coward and hard to get to, so... but like Apoc said, child-friendly game (which I can NOW beat in just a little over six or seven hours... I like to search everywhere instead of rushing through the game).
Today I'm gonna get high and see if the Nixon tapes sync up to Pink Floyd.

Dr. Shemp play like most bosses in 3D plaformers, Toasty was hard the first time around becasue of the fast dogs, Blowhard should've had tornados or something, Jacques just didn't make any sense, Metalhead was awesome. Gnasty Gnorc accoring to the beta verision was rushed and unfinished along with gnorc gnexus. You can see here:
