Should Spyro's Kingdom Continue Classic Spyro Or Legend Spyro?

I would be good with a continuation of either of the two series. Both series musn't be compared with each other, but must be viewed seperately.

The Legend series isn't worse than the Original series or vice versa, it's just something different, and both are great on their own.

I would also be cool with a total reboot.

I would really want them to connect the series somehow. It will mean alot to some fans and possibly the LOS Storyline can impact on the original universe.

I want a complete remake of the TLOS series. This time with a deeper story and less plot holes (voice acting and visual effects could be improved, and features should be added). I want to know EVERYTHING (ok, a lot of things) that happened in the world. How long did it take for Hunter to find Spyro? What did he do on the way? What happened to the other adult dragons and all the apes?

I really cant decide which one to continue from. Im splitting for either or equally. I have my own expectations for if it goes one way or another. how ever if it goes in a different way then praise to my other friends who would most likely be willing to take the game from me to save its life and not be utterly destroyed IF its own new idea for a direction is worse then DotD.

Returning to the Orig. story line would be difficult after Enter the Dragonfly, and A Hero's Tail which were widely ignored comapired to their perquils. tLoS series has steadily risen in copies sold and thus is an un-broken story line. Personaly, I could care less which, but marketing wise, and logicaly, I think tLoS would be the best choice.

Ratchet: I agree 100% with the no re-make of tLoS. Indeed they should have done it right the first time through.

I love sypro so I will enjoy the game no matter what universe it is in. But my vote is the LOS series. The reason being going back to the original would be like walking backward.

It's a reasonable assumption that the TLOS series has less dedicated fans than the classics, so I guess it's better to go with a more classic approach, as long as it's not like Spyro or Sonic 4.

Latias fan, I don't have any other choice on the "best non-Insomniac Spyro game". ETD is too glitchy, AHT I don't feel like playing for very long (for some reason), ANB and TEN have a VERY blocky combat system...

Dawn of the Dragon does have Sparx as a Gary Stu and Cynder as a Mary Sue and sure, it is too short but it's great. Mainly because I'm obsessed with magic combat.

My expectations are not low. I think that Sonic '06 sucks rotten eggs with its 4 minute long load times and a romance between a human and a hedgehog (*shudders*). neutral

PS: How can you beat a meowing elf as "babyish"?

I like magic in games. I love, love, love using fire, ice, electricity...etc
to destroy enemies. I spent about 300+ hours with an RPG called Morrowind (which imo has the BEST combat system with magic and weapons) and it does have cheesy voices (it gets annoying when elves keep on making remarks like "Ho friend, how about a potion today?" though).

Clock-la, I have high expectations. That's why when a game does NOT impress me within the first five minutes, I will NOT in any chance in hell buy that game. I play game demos in order to make up my mind about a purchase.
My mood also varies from time to time, so sometimes I play a game for litterally two minutes and then switch over to another game. No kidding. That happens with all games, even the Spyro classics which I love.
Well. I'm off to play Morrowind. The cave of Shal awaits me. smile

I can't believe what I'm reading! How could you people say someone's expectations aren't good/too low or whatever? As far as I know each person sets their own expectations, everyone can decide for themselves the rate of their expectations.

I agree. It should be a Spyro with qualities of BOTH Old and New Spyro in it.

Out of those? Classic.

But I would prefer a mix. I'd like to see more classic-like gameplay in a classic universe that doesn't try to take itself to seriously, but I'd also like a good story that's somewhat deep with characters that I can actually like.

In other words, I'd take the gameplay and environment from the classics and the story-centered-ness from LoS, but I'd make the story much more enjoyable.
