You're in the minority, i think. The few people that have a positive outlook on this game are hoping for more characters and periodic DLC.
i don't care how many characters they have in terms of the story, but i just want them to have fewer characters for the sole reason that Activision would make less money off it.
because you know there will be innocent kids who buy into it and want their parents to buy all 32, and that's going to be countless dollars out of their pockets and into Activision's...
Yeah!! How dare Activision do something that makes them money. Who do they think they are...

Re: Official site up
Gotta love when people try to make companies seem evil for trying to make money.
As much as I dislike the idea of this game, really, it's not Activision's job to make us (the fans) happy. It's their job to make as much of a profit from their products as possible. Which it will certainly do if it's successful at targetting the intended fanbase....

Usually, those go hand in hand.

Re: Official site up
Well yeah, but here they're trying to add to the fanbase rather than make the existing fans happy. The Spyro fanbase as it is now isn't big enough for it to be profitable enough on its own, it seems.

And I'm alright with that. It doesn't matter how many new fans they are trying to grab, it'll still be determined by how fun the games are. I trust the future of Spyro to the 6-12 year old individuals that will play the games. Kids aren't stupid, they know what's good. They just lack the meaning of how much it may cost.

Re: Official site up
True, but what's "good" for kids isn't always "good" for adults. It can be, but it isn't always.
I'm also fine with them building up a new fanbase for Spyro as long as the kids who join the forums as a result aren't too annoying.

Thirteen or with parental permission, yes, but there's no real way of enforcing that. It's easy to lie about your age and just as easy to say you have parental permission if you don't.

Oh, yeah I failed to mention that I'm actually a 6 year old blonde girl. And my mom lets me do whatever I want because my parents are divorced and she has full custody.

Re: Official site up
From what I have seen so far, it does not seem like this game has much to do with Spyro, except for the title.

Oh, I have definitely come to expect these things, trust me. Especially after the release of DotD. But you can't blame me for hoping that won't be the case.

Re: Official site up
So an "adults only" Spyro game would be the answer to your problems, Stormy? You sicken me.

Re: Official site up
Actually, an adults only game does not sound too bad. I mean, of course it shouldn't go too far with the 'adults only' thing, but we could have more of a serious plot, with twists and turns that are more understood by an older crowd.

Re: Official site up
But thats not what Spyro is about he's a character made for childrens games. If you want adult Dragon fantasy time read Eragon or play Monster Hunter.

No dude, lol. I don't care if it's "for kids" as long as it's also fun for adults and doesn't come with an annoying fanbase.
