I truthfully don't care what happens from here on out to the spyro franchise. But, if I were to express my opinion in *bleep* mode... Ah, never mind.

I guess what disappoints me more than anything when I heard criticism about the new game is that fact that some people can be pretty stubborn when it comes to their own opinion.

I'm labeled an optimist for this game because I hint at its potential. It could turn out that this game will totally suck--who knows?... But I'm willing to give it a chance.

You don't have to know how to cook to like food. But if you never taste a dish just because it "looks ugly," then you may never know if you would have ever liked it or not. My arguments are the product of trying to protect people from themselves. Sorry if that sounds ignorant...

It just bugs me to death that a lot of Spyro fans have given up on it this early, still 5 months from the release date.

oh my goodness

i was using the palm trees as an example. the game as a whole is childish.
i used the palm trees as the clearest example.

i don't like it because i'm not in the target age.

i didn't say it was bad that it was a reboot. don't get me wrong, i really don't like what i've seen of the story so far, but look deeper into what i said, it was more than commentary about the story, but a comment how i think Spyro was just put in to make money ("cashcow").

you know, it's one thing when people disagree with me. it happens 99% of the time. but once. just once. i'd like someone to understand me. i don't even mean that in the whiny "you don't get my pain" kind of way, either. i just mean, literally, i wish somebody would understand me when i say something.

Ah, I see, sorry for misunderstanding then. I assumed you were being sarcastic partly because I've been criticized so often for "not accepting that Spyro has changed" to the point that it really started to annoy me.

eeeyup.

This is going no where.

At this point, I don't even think it's worth arguing about now. Fact remains: Skylanders is probably the biggest fork-in-the-road Spyro fans have had to endure. And it will drive us apart. Oh well, I guess.

And Spash, don't tag team with me like you have as if we are to take sides. This shouldn't be a battle.

Some people really like Spyro because of the traditional platform style of gameplay. Any changes made to the original design is seen as a flaw.

Others, like me, take more interest in the Spyro universe of characters. So a new cast of characters that shared (or even steal) the spotlight is compelling more than it is an eye-sore. If I could create my own dragon character and replace Spyro in an adventure--I would.

Times change, so we'll have to see what Fall 2011 holds. See, by then MLPFiM's second season would have started, and the possibility that I may buy pony toys before Spyro toys is starting to look inevitable.

No but DOTD drama was enough of what went down, ANB and TEN were tame on this forum compared to what DOTD unleashed

Yeah, even some LoS fans hated DotD, mostly because of the new Cynder, I think. I'm not sure; I've still never actually played it.

On a related note it's not the Voice actors it's the *bleep* Team, Mark Hamil even sounded dull and his done better Voice acting

I liked Cynder in ANB and TEN, but in DotD she was just...ugh, awful.

Anyway, this is getting off topic. This petition will never work. Not only will they have to change Spyro's playable form, they will have to change the cutscenes, the action figure you put on the portal thing, the design on the site, the trailer, and anything else with Spyro on it they've began to make.

That's a lot of time, effort and money for a few ungracious fans who think that a design alone is what makes a good game.
