Dark Spyro, Legendary Spyro, Chop Chop, and Bash don't count as the main 32 Skylanders.

I'm overjoyed at Cynder's inclusion, but it is confusing me. The only non-Spyro characters coming back from past games are Dark Spyro and Cynder, both LoS characters. But I thought Skylanders was based more on Classic Spyro, so where are Hunter and Sparx?

Oh well, at least now Spyro's not the only returning character. Oh, plus the sheep.

Might not be spoiler-worthy, but I thought I'd include them just in case anyone wanted to be surprised on the release date. People did the same thing with the new generation of Pokemon a few months back.

Speaking of which, when is the official release date for the game? Going to have to put up a reminder about spoilers when it gets close....

October 16th for the US and October 14th for Europe. But recently they said October 11th for the US and October 14th for Europe, though there wasn't really any actual confirmation.

Your a little wrong, Insane Cynder fans are disgusted of her new appearance, she shares most of the features of the other dragon characters *Ugly* and they hate her new body structure.

In-short it's repulsed them.

Ironically they brought back a old character....You recall the balloon guy who transported you to boss battles and worlds in the classic Spyro games? Well his back and his a fish

Seems like Cynder was requested back by fans far more than Sparx.

forgive me, but why would anyone ever "request" Sparx? Sparx should be an expected certainty. even in TLOS they still put him in every game.

not that the character selection was based on fan-requests, we don't know that they were even open to suggestions during development.

Because Sparx has been with Spyro from the very beginning, and most fans want to keep it that way, even in a spin-off game.

Neither were any of the LoS characters, really. Spyro himself was especially forgettable. People like Cynder, though, probably mostly because she's the only female dragon left and thus the only possible mate for Spyro. And we know how much people like shipping.

Not sure if it was a good move on their part to put her in or not. Die-hard LoS fans and Skylanders antis won't be happy, but I don't think Activision cares about the old fanbase anyway.
