years ago, i remember some discussion on here about the dragons in Spyro 1. as i recall (and i'm a feeble wrinkly 23 year old nursing home patient so keep that in mind) the consensus was that all of the dragons were male, except for that high-pitched one in the middle of the Dream Weavers homeworld.

i remember disagreeing with this and thinking the voice still sounded pretty "male".

also as i recall, that was never confirmed.

come to think of it, did anyone ever ask Insomniac about that? did we ever get any official confirmation on whether any of the dragons were female? i don't remember hearing anything like that but, i dunno.

It dosen't bug me too much but kind of sad regardless. Oh well hopefully the game is a true gem regardless.

I'm on the fence, but I think there's a way it can be both ways.

Both ways meaning, the fans aren't super disappointed with the way TfB is remaking the game, and TfB also has the liberty to make the game the way they feel it should be made.

I get the gun thing being a sticking point for people, but I really don't care. I don't think it's that big of a deal. I'm stuck between this compromise of trusting TfB to make their imagination into it, but trumped by the fan service request that is inevitable and almost forever unsatisfied. TfB has been very gracious so far in their transparency and willingness to listen to fans and get feedback and understand fan concerns. But eventually, they are not going to do everything we want, and I fear the spoiled rotten fandom revolt that will occur when it does. the gun thing isn't a big deal to me. I know that the topic of PC culture definitely could effect and ruin the nostalgic value of the game, but there are some things, like the guns, that I just don't think are that big of a deal. If we overly concern with things being too PC, then everything will potentially look like a problem. Fans will want to change things, and beat down anything and everything that bothers them even a little. When you're holding a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

Good points.

I agree with you for the most part; the gun thing is slightly irritating to me, but definitely not enough to be a deal breaker. I'd hate to see fans throwing a fit over it like they seem to have done with other things (mainly thinking of Nestor's turban tongue ).

This is pretty much exactly my thoughts about the situation. Basically just glad the remake is happening, and not too fussed about any of the changes I've seen so far.

i didn't even know they were butts when i was younger. it looked like they were mooning you, sure, but ....? the polygons were so basic i genuinely wasn't sure if they were butts or like, kettle drums or something lol

i don't see mooning going over well with modern graphics. they'll probably censor it somehow.

Same, I think I remember asking my dad what the gnorcs were doing and he had to awkwardly explain it to me. tongue

Jordan Fringe was praying that the mooning would stay in the game. I kind of was hoping it would stay, but if the mooning gave the game a 'T' or 'M' rating I would understand the change to say, underwear.
